
KLETHING KUNING VS YUYUKANGKANG

The story begins when Prince Kusumayuda met Klenting Kuning, the youngest
among four sisters, daughters of a widow who lived in a village of Banyuarum Kingdom
where Prince Kusumayuda’s father ruled. Secretly Prince Kusumayuda and Klenting
Kuning liked each other. From the bottom of his heart, Prince Kusumayuda knew that
this beautiful girl was his future bride, the perfect queen for Banyuarum Kingdom.
Unfortunately, they never met afterwards.
Several years later, a young handsome man named Ande Ande Lumut announced the
entire kingdom that he was seeking a woman for his wife. He will be waiting the
chosen one in the downtown. Unlike the other girls in her village and her sisters,
Klenting Kuning did not want to go to see Ande Ande Lumut. She still remembered
her Prince Kusumayuda. However, her wonder heron pet told her to go. Klenting
Kuning then finally left for Ande Ande Lumut.
In the middle of their journey, they found a deep long river that had to be crossed. At
that time, the giant crab Yuyu Kangkang, the keeper of the river showed up.
“Ladies, I offer you my back to cross the river on one condition,” Yuyu Kangkang said.
“Tell us hurry, the handsome Ande Ande Lumut is waiting for us,” all the girls were
shouting impatience. Yuyu Kangkang smiled.
“Those who kiss me will have space on my back to cross the river.” Immediately they
agreed except Klenting Kuning. They thought Ande Ande Lumut would never know
that they kissed the crab to help them crossing the river.
One by one they kissed the crab and stepped on his back.
But only Klenting Kuning left after she refused kissing
the crab. Only in few minutes the crab and other girls had crossed the river.
Klenting Kuning then carefully stepped on the stones to cross the river. She used her
shawl to bind her self with the river stone and started stepping to the other stones. Her
sisters and other girls were waiting for her in the riverbank. Klenting Kuning finally
reached the riverbank successfully. Together they continued the journey to the downtown.
Arrived in the downtown, they were stunned by the handsome of Ande Ande Lumut
especially Klenting Kuning. She instantly recognized who she was looking at. Ande
Ande Lumut was Prince Kusumayuda, the prince charming in her heart who she met
long time ago in the village.
Eventually, without their knowledge Prince Kusumayuda
secretly following how those girls successfully arrived to the downtown. He noticed
that only Klenting Kuning who did not kiss the crab in order helping her crossing the
river. He found that Klenting Kuning was the toughest among them. He admired her.
In fact, she was the one who filled his heart for all this time after they met. Soon after
Prince Kusumayuda had made his decision, they got married and lived happily ever

In antiquity, there lived a man named Towjatuwa on the edge
Tami river area of Irian Jaya.The man was upset, because his wife is pregnant and have difficulty in giving birth to her baby. To assist the birth of his son, he needs an operation that uses a sharp stone from the river Tami.
While he was busy looking for a sharp stone, he heard a strange noise behind him.Towjatuwa was surprised when he saw a large crocodile in front of him. He was very scared and almost fainted. Large alligator slowly moving towards Towjatuwa. Unlike other crocodiles, this animal has feathers of birds Kaswari on his back. So when the alligator was moving, it looked very scary beast.
But when Towjatuwa tried to escape, he was greeted with a friendly crocodile and asked what he was doing. Towjatuwapun tell the state of his wife. Even this magic crocodile said: "Do not worry, I will come to your house tonight. I'll help wife give birth." Towjatuwa home to his wife. With a very happy, he also tells about his encounter with a crocodile magic.
That night, as promised, the crocodile then entered the house Towjatuwa. With the power of magic, crocodile named Watuwe helped the birth of a baby boy safely. He was named Narrowra. Watuwe predicted that one day the baby will grow into a powerfulhunter.
Watuwe then reminded that Towjatuwa and his descendants did not kill and eat crocodile meat. If the ban violated the Towjatuwa and their children will die. Since then, Towjatuwaand offspring have pledged to protect animals that are around the river Tami from the hunters.
